Recognition of prior learning and credit transfer
Recognition of prior learning (RPL)
- Recognition of prior learning (RPL) is offered to every learner at enrolment.
- RPL is decided through the Academy's assessment system: an assessor compares your evidence from work and life with the unit requirements, and may ask questions or watch you work.
- Support is available for RPL candidates, including help putting evidence together.
- You can appeal an RPL decision in the same way as any assessment decision.
Credit transfer
- Credit transfer recognises a unit you have already completed with any RTO.
- It is granted on AQF certification documentation (a testamur, record of results or Statement of Attainment) or an authenticated USI transcript.
